Alicia J. McMurray-Smith

Alicia J. McMurray-Smith is passionate about providing local businesses the legal protections they need to be successful. Licensed in 2013 after graduating with honors from the University of Tennessee College of Law, Ms. McMurray-Smith has spent her entire career building relationships with local business owners and helping them in business transactions such as: forming LLCs and Corporations; contract drafting, review, and negotiation; commercial leases; mergers and acquisitions; lender representation; and advising as-needed on business law issues.
Ms. McMurray-Smith took her practice to the law firm of General Knox Law, P.C. in 2016 where she became a partner in 2020. She has been named a Rising Star in Corporate Law by SuperLawyers three (3) years in a row, but her largest sense of accomplishment comes from seeing her clients succeed.
Ms. McMurray-Smith enjoys being active in the local community. In her spare time, she serves on the Board of Directors for Spark, a nonprofit providing technology and other assistance to Knoxvillians with disabilities.
